Is
How to Train Your Dragon one of the best audiobooks for a family to listen to
on a road trip? I read that it was in an
online article and we decided to test it out on a recent trip to Michigan. Our family trip proved that it is one of the
best audiobooks for a family to listen to.
Usually on a family trip we listen to one hour from an audiobook and
then the kids switch off to their electronics for an hour. The kids were so enthralled with this
audiobook that we listened to the entire 3 hours and 30 minutes straight through
with no complaints and no requests to switch to electronics.
The
story was great and surprisingly different than the movie. My favorite part was the voice acting by
David Tennant (my favorite Doctor Who) who did a fabulous job voice acting all the
parts of the story. He truly made it an
enjoyable adventure for the entire family.
Our
next family trip will include listening to the second book of this series. I highly recommend it for a family trip. My kids are aged eight through thirteen with
two boys and a girl. It’s hard to find
something they all like and this truly fit the bill.
